Foot care.
Comfortable feet, every visit.
Nails, hard skin, corns, cracked heels: the everyday problems that make feet miserable, dealt with properly. Suitable for all adults, including diabetic and higher-risk feet.
Feet need maintenance
Most foot problems don't arrive overnight. Nails thicken, skin hardens, corns build at pressure points, and what starts as a niggle becomes the thing that decides which shoes you can wear. Regular foot care keeps all of it in check before it gets to that stage, and matters most if diabetes, circulation, eyesight or flexibility make looking after your own feet difficult.
An appointment is straightforward: a short health check first, so we know your history and anything you're worried about, then treatment with fully sterilised instruments, usually 30 to 60 minutes in the chair. You walk out comfortable, with honest advice on keeping things that way and how often it's worth coming back.
Conditions covered
Accurate diagnosis before treatment
Not all discoloured or thickened nails are caused by fungal infection, trauma, psoriasis and other conditions can cause identical-looking changes. Treating the wrong cause wastes time and money, and can delay the right treatment.
We test for fungal nail infections right here in the clinic, so you can find out quickly whether an infection is present and start the right treatment, rather than guessing, or waiting on a hospital referral.
Once a diagnosis is confirmed, we create a tailored treatment plan, which may include topical antifungal therapy, nail reduction, or a combination approach depending on the severity of the infection.
Safe care for every patient
Foot care is particularly important for patients with diabetes, peripheral vascular disease, or conditions affecting nerve sensation in the feet. These patients are at higher risk of complications from seemingly minor problems, and professional foot care is an essential part of managing that risk.
We assess diabetic patients carefully at every visit, checking the skin, circulation and pressure points that matter most. If anything concerns us we'll say so plainly, and liaise with your GP or diabetes team where appropriate.
Want to check your foot health too? If you have diabetes, or you'd simply like a clear picture of your foot health, our foot circulation assessment checks the blood flow and nerve supply to your feet. Learn more →
Frequently asked questions
For most patients, every 6–8 weeks is ideal for maintaining foot health. Patients with diabetes, thickened nails or conditions causing rapid nail or skin changes may benefit from more frequent appointments, every 4–6 weeks. We'll advise you on the right frequency at your appointment.
Most treatments are entirely comfortable. Corn and callus removal is painless when performed properly by a trained podiatrist. Patients who are sensitive or anxious are welcome to let us know and we'll take things at your pace.
Nothing, they are the same profession. Chiropodist is the older term; podiatrist is the current regulated title. Both refer to a specialist in the assessment and treatment of the foot and lower limb.
Yes. Home visits run across East London for anyone who finds getting to the clinic hard: elderly patients, people with reduced mobility, and care home residents. We bring fully sterilised equipment with us. Call to arrange one.
Nothing special. Come as you are, take polish off any nails you'd like us to look at if you can, and bring a medication list if you have one. If getting to us is the hard part, ask about a home visit instead.
